Dancers inter­ested in audi­tion­ing for Pasadena Dance The­atre must be age 17 and older and must have strong clas­si­cal train­ing. Women must be strong on pointe. Audi­tions are held in May and Sep­tem­ber. Inter­ested dancers may con­tact Cyn­thia Young, Artis­tic Direc­tor, at (626) 683‑3459 and send a resume and head­shot to Pasadena Dance The­atre, 1985 E. PDT II

Stu­dents in the advanced lev­els of Pasadena Dance Theatre’s Con­ser­va­tory may be invited by the artis­tic direc­tors to join PDT II. Mem­bers of PDT II per­form with Pasadena Dance Theatre’s pro­fes­sional com­pany in it’s annual pro­duc­tion of The Nut­cracker, and may also appear in sev­eral more pro­duc­tions through­out the year.

Open Audi­tions for Chil­drens’ Roles in The Nutcracker

Audi­tions for children’s roles in PDT’s annual pro­duc­tion of The Nut­cracker are held each year dur­ing Octo­ber at PDT’s Con­ser­va­tory.  Boys must be age 8 and up; no train­ing is required.  Girls must be age 8 and up, with at least one year of bal­let train­ing.  See height chart below.  The annual audi­tion sched­ule will be posted in advance of the date.
