Lucy Record began her dance training in Houston, Texas. She danced with Houston Allegro Ballet Company before receiving her B.A. in Dance from the University of Texas. Lucy danced with Austin Ballet Theatre before moving to Toronto, where she danced with Ballet Ys. She then moved to NYC, where she joined the modern company, Facets. She began choreographing, and became very interested in musical theater. To date, Lucy has choreographed over 50 musicals. Some of her favorite stage credits include: Evita, Pippin, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Grease, Footloose, Sweet Charity, Anything Goes, and On Stage With Shirley Jones (which Lucy choreographed as well as directed). She is the resident choreographer for the Burt Wood School of Performing Arts in Greater Boston. Lucy's work can be seen in the childrens' video "I Wrote That," directed by world-class British director Clive Fleury. Her film work can be seen in "Everything's George," starring Frank Gorshin. Lucy is the proud recipient of the Santa Monica Theatre Guild's Geoffrey Award for Best Choreography for the past six years. |
